At the top of the bill is Ricky Balshaw, a powerhouse joke-smith, BBC New Comedy Award semi-finalist, and winner of Best New Act at the Midlands Comedy Awards. Born with cerebral palsy, Ricky spent much of his early life dominating international sports, securing a silver medal in dressage at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games and later working as a presenter for Channel 4’s Paralympic coverage. Now he has swapped the saddle for the stage to become one of the most exciting, fearless acts on the UK circuit. Pulling audiences into a joyfully dark world of self-deprecating comedy, Ricky cuts right through inspirational clichés with upfront, razor-sharp storytelling.

Kate Robb is a Funny Women Awards Semi-Finalist whose sarcastic, honest takes on family life and motherhood have earned her a reputation as “definitely one to watch”. Joining her is local comic Sean Payne, a Derby native who recently made waves by winning the local Derby Gong Show.
