Step into a whimsical world where two bakers cook up a sweet treat on your very own doorstep. Join The Gingerbread Man as he as he escapes the bakery into the big wide world, meeting all sorts mischievous characters along the way. Flavoured with music, song, puppetry…and ginger… this delicious tale is sure to bring you dollops of fun without having to leave your home!

Front Door Theatre aims to be with you within 90 minutes of your time slot. For example, if you book a 4 pm time slot on Tuesday. – They aim to be with you between 4 pm and 5:30 pm.

FAQs
How does it work?
You book a slot and we will arrive and perform the show on your door step within the 90 mins time slot you booked. For example, if you book a 4 pm time slot on Tuesday. – They aim to be with you between 4 pm and 5:30 pm. (Similar to a supermarket/amazon delivery, except we deliver a show!)
When booking a slot you will need to provide us with the following information:
- Full Name
- Address
- Mobile Number
If your billing address details are different from the address you would like us to perform at, then please contact hello@frontdoortheatre.co.uk with your booking details and state the correct address.
A parent, carer or guardian over the age of 18 will need to be present at all times during the performance.
How much does it cost?
£16.50 for the household
Who can book?
Anyone can book the show who lives within a 5 or 8-mile radius of Derby City Centre depending on which day you book.
Monday – Thursday performances available to families who live within 5 miles of Derby City Centre. (Within the circle on the map. Postcodes beginning DE1, DE2, DE21, DE22, DE23, DE24, DE3, DE5, DE56, DE6, DE65, DE7, DE72, DE73, DE74, DE99)
Friday – Sunday performances available to families who live within 8 miles of Derby City Centre. (Within the outer circle on the map DE1, DE15, DE2, DE21, DE22, DE23, DE24, DE3, DE5, DE56, DE6, DE65, DE7, DE72, DE73, DE74, DE75, DE99, NG10, NG9, S11
Will you enter my home?
We will not enter your home, unless agreed. We will perform outside, but as close as possible to your front door. The show is designed to be as close to your door frame as possible. If the weather doesn’t allow for us to perform outside, then we can perform inside with your permission.
Are there any restrictions on where we can perform?
For the safety of our performers, we are unable to perform on steps. We require approximately 1.5 metres of flat space in front of your door. If you have 1 or 2 standard steps leading to your door, but space in front of the steps, then this should be fine. Any more than 2 steps then we wouldn’t be able to perform at this door. Do you have another outside door we could use?
If your door leads directly onto a public footpath, we will need to ensure there is enough room to perform and allow the general public to pass by.
We are unable to perform in a block of flats.
