Each session will include a visit from a well-established organisation that supports young people. They will deliver an informative and exciting workshop to help guide our city’s young people, encouraging both independence and pathways to success.
Workshops will take place over a five-week period and introduce a new organisation each week. The following is NOT in date order:
HSBC – Applying for your first debit/credit card, managing money, and banking basics.
YMCA – Detailing their services, from housing, supported living, and mental well-being support.
Connextions – Derby’s ‘After Care’ team will be sharing how their services can support young people and the steps to gaining access to the support provided.
Framework – An introduction to supported living and how to prepare for independent living.
Job Centre (Derby) – Providing the do’s and don’ts when applying for a job, how to write a CV, and interview assistance.
