We believe that all children and young people deserve to have brilliant experiences, whether that is a visit to the theatre for the very first time or a much-needed holiday in Skegness.
Derby Theatre and Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre have teamed up during Welfare this autumn, to raise vital funds that will help both charities to help young people and children who face barriers and challenges to enjoy some respite, develop friendships and learn new things.
At Derby Theatre, we engage with over 5000 young people each year through our community programmes, offering funded places at our youth theatre, creative mentoring sessions for care experienced young people that help to develop confidence and tickets to see exciting productions at the theatre.
Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre provides a 5-day holiday for over 400 children each year at their dedicated centre in Skegness. Young people can have a break in a safe and welcoming space, take part in activities with new friends and most importantly, enjoy an ice cream on the beach!
Please donate today to support this important work for young people in our city – just £10 could pay for a theatre ticket or a holiday activity for a young person.
Everything we raise will be split equally between both charities and every penny donated will help us to make a difference.
