We invite you to join us and award-winning writer, Abi Zakarian to share your memories of holidays (including any of the Derbyshire Miners' Holiday Camp in Skegness) and coal mining communities to help inform Abi's exciting new play for 2024, Welfare (It Were Welfare To Us).

Abi is an award-winning British-American playwright who was born and bred in Derbyshire to a family of miners. Welfare will be a Brassed Off for today featuring miners, holiday makers, strikes, bingo halls, brass bands, rousing speeches..and the BEST entertainment.

So, why not join us and be a part of the development process for this exciting new play?!
