Matinee Meet-Ups is your opportunity to delve deeper into the world of theatre and build connections within your community.

Join us on Thursday 16 January at 12:00 and meet Tim Churchill (Mr Lyons & Resident Director) from the cast of Blood Brothers!

Tim’s professional acting career began in 1997 in Kay Mellor’s play A Passionate Woman. Since then, Tim has appeared in the national tour of Doctor Dolittle, Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, Mr Lyons in Blood Brothers, Seasonal Sauce at The Watermill Theatre, Who Ate All the Pies? a workshop for Plymouth Theatre Royal, Robin Hood in Boobs in the Wood, an adult panto, Spitfire Dream, a one man show about the famous inventor of the Spitfire fighter plane, John Christow in Agatha Christie’s The Hollow, and Barrymore in The Hound of the Baskervilles. Film and television credits Tim played the real-life character of the Australian journalist and writer George Johnston in the 2020 film So Long Marianne; Davie Williams in Nessie, and Priest in Red Rose (BBC/Netflix). Writing: Tim co-wrote the feature film Nessie, a family film about the Loch Ness Monster. Winning the best screenplay award at the Monaco Film festival. He co-wrote/directed What’s All the Fuss About?, a jukebox musical based on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Other writing credits include: The Magnificent Seven, a stage play inspired by the true story of Bernard Joran who escaped from his nursing home to attend the 70th anniversary celebration of D-Day in Normandy, and a brand new adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Tim also co-wrote, directed and produced The Turnip Field (Turbine Theatre, Battersea). and Co-wrote the new thriller Closure which had its world premiere at the Theatre Royal Windsor. Tim lives in Staffordshire with his wife and co-writer Catherine O’Reilly, and their miniature Labradoodle Henri.
