The Privileged
The Privileged was developed at the University of Chichester, which both supported and funded the performance as part their postgraduate Performance (Theatre) degree. It premiered as part of SPILL Festival’s 2014 National Platform scheme. Jamal Harewood was mentored by Selina Thompson, Sheila Ghelani and Pete Phillips (of Search Party).
Jamal Harewood is a performance artist who creates audience-led participatory performance events that focus on identity and race. He works with the audience to create unique experiences, believing that these events should be playful experiences that allow everyone to get involved.
