Fundraising fun for fifty years – quiz night at Derby Theatre

Derby Theatre’s upcoming Fundraising Quiz Night will commence on Friday 17 July 2026 7pm until 10pm. Join Derby Theatre and put your general and theatre knowledge to the test with your chosen team, promising a great night out. All proceeds from tickets sales for the event will provide vital funds to support Derby Theatre beyond 50 to continue enriching local lives, supporting young people to develop skills and confidence, and keep making high-quality theatre.

Expect a mix of general knowledge rounds and a bit of theatre history. Teams can book in groups of up to four or come along individually and be matched with fellow quiz goers! The £10 ticket gains you entry to the event, and a complimentary welcome drink, kindly supported by White Peak Distillery who will provide their perfect serve Shining Cliff Gin and Tonic. Alternative welcome drink option will be available. Show your support for Derby Theatre and join for a fun filled evening, with an exciting prize for the winner. 

As a registered charity, the money raised through fundraising activities is essential in supporting Derby Theatre’s creative community programmes as the venue look ahead to the next 50 years. This includes creative workshops, mentoring and tickets for vulnerable young people, to the monthly Dementia Carers Café. During this special anniversary year, community support is more important than ever, helping Derby Theatre celebrate its past while investing in its future.

Derby Theatre’s 50th anniversary celebrations have brought together audiences, artists and the community to honour five decades of bold and brilliant theatre. From the 50 Faces: Derby Theatre: My Story exhibition and city-wide Costume Trail to the Archive Exhibition spanning 1975 to 2025, Derwent Brass Concert Night, a Fundraising Gala Performance of The Great Gatsby, our Cultural Celebration Party, and CANVAS Takeover, the events have celebrated the people, stories and talent that have shaped the theatre. Audiences are invited to enjoy a night of family fun, to help support the extraordinary communities Derby Theatre work with. Play your part in the future of Derby Theatre and help them to keep making a difference for the next 50 Years and beyond.
