“We are deeply saddened to hear about the tragic loss of Casting Director, Kay Magson. Kay was a dear friend and much-valued creative collaborator of Derby Theatre, having worked with us over many years, assembling stellar line-ups of actors for Derby Theatre produced shows including The Jungle Book, Abi, A Christmas Carol, Treasure Island, Jekyll and Hyde and Brassed Off.
We know that Kay’s passing will be a great loss to the casting and theatre sectors across the UK, as well as to numerous actors, theatres and arts organisations she worked with over the years. Kay was a wonderful, warm and vibrant person, an incredible talent who will be greatly missed by so many.
Our thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues at this time.”
