Expect satire, sincerity and a touch of sentimentality. This dynamic double bill moves from a playful yet piercing take on stigma and women’s health to a joyful exploration of memory and connection — reminding us of the power of both speaking up and looking back.

A Period Piece: A Broadcast from the Menstruation Station
By Madi Steffen

A Period Piece is a sharp, funny, and unexpectedly intimate piece of theatre that hijacks familiar TV formats: game shows, medical dramas, rom coms, and rewires them to explore menstruation, stigma and women’s health.

Blending satire with real lived experience, the show lures its audience in with humour before pulling back the curtain on what it means to grow up, exist and be unheard in a world that still struggles to talk about periods. This is not a lecture; it is a broadcast. One that invites laughter, discomfort, recognition and reflection in equal measure.

Playful, provocative and deeply human, A Period Piece blends comedy and lived experience to shine a light on what’s often kept quiet.
