This dazzling event, hosted by the team behind the iconic Derby Caribbean Carnival, marks an extraordinary 50 years of Carnival magic and community spirit, brought to life by the Derby West Indian Community Association.

This year’s competition challenges designers to “Re-imagine Carnival Culture” by embracing community, costume ergonomics, and sustainability. Collaborate and tell diverse stories through vibrant designs that prioritise wearer comfort and freedom of movement. Utilise eco-conscious materials and construction, incorporating recycled elements and minimising waste. Let’s redefine Carnival aesthetics with breathtaking and responsible creations that honour tradition while shaping a sustainable future for this vibrant cultural celebration.

Be captivated by the brilliance of Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses from Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, and Northampton as they compete for glory in this breathtaking costume showcase.
