Barbara Nice is the comedy creation of Janice Connolly BEM. On the telly, she’s perhaps best known for playing Holy Mary in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, receptionist Rosie Colton in BBC’s Doctors, and appearing in Guz Khan’s Man Like Mobeen. On the wireless, she can be heard as Cathy in Kiri Pritchard-McLean’s BBC sitcom The Learners, as part of the ensemble cast of Icklewick FM, and had her own popular BBC radio sitcom as Barbara Nice. In the past, Barbara has supported both Peter Kay and Johnny Vegas on tour. In 2024 she won The North West Comedy Awards Legend Award.
