Derby Theatre's Reaching Communities programme is delighted to share three Sanctuary Scratch performances with you created by a variety of wonderful artists residing here in Derby.

Through the National Lottery community fund we have been able to develop opportunities in our community to strengthen the relationship between people, culture and art. Sharing the stories and experiences important to the people making Derby their home.

This Scratch will feature performances by:

Dlivan Salih is a singer-songwriter, music producer and multi- instrumentalist from Kurdistan, Northern Iraq now living in Derby. Dlivan has written, produced and performed his own music extensively in Iraq as well as writing and producing music for other artists in his Baghdad studio.

Carol Fieldhouse is singer-songwriter and music facilitator. As a solo artist she has released 2 albums of original songs featuring Boo Hewerdine, Neill MacColl, John McCusker and Chris Pepper.

Performances in Derbyshire include Exile Music Festival, Wirksworth Festival, Lockstock Festival, Breadsall Music Festival, Buxton Festival Fringe, Derby Folk Festival Fringe with Furthest form the Sea and most recently at the Guildhall Sessions, Lincoln with Dlivan and Mohammadreza Behjat (Santoor) in April 2024.
