Unfortunately, due to high demand we have had to close for work experience applications as all spaces have now been filled.
However, we do have lots of other opportunities available for young people to get involved with at Derby Theatre.
The CANVAS project provides free arts and cultural opportunities to young people in Derby. You can see more on the CANVAS Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/canvasderby/
If you are interested in making theatre you can use this link below to join the waitlist for our Youth Theatre — https://derbytheatre.co.uk/programme/youth-theatre/
We do hope to see you at Derby Theatre soon.
We will reopen applications for the 25-26 academic year later this year.
In most cases, we run 1-week of work experience placements which give students a flavour of what working in a theatre has to offer, that fits with a school’s work experience programme. This can include a variety of departments, such as Front of House, Production Design, Youth Theatre, and Marketing. We look to make your experience of working in theatre as diverse and realistic as possible, which hopefully helps you to make informed choices about future study and career opportunities.
These work experience programmes have very limited places, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible! – Please fill in the application form below and return to our Young Artists and Participation Producer, Harry Kingscott via email at H.Kingscott@derby.ac.uk.
Occasionally, we are able to offer more bespoke placements in particular projects and departments, however this is strictly subject to availability. If you are interested in discussing this opportunity or have any further questions, please get in touch with our Young Artists and Participation Producer, Harry Kingscott via email at H.Kingscott@derby.ac.uk.
