Our Normanton steering group are organising another fantastic community event and we want you to be a part of it too! Derby Dishes returns on Monday 24 August.
We are looking for recipe ideas for the menu and entertainment to perform on the night and each selected participant will receive £100.
How it works:
FOOD: Our community panel will then choose 1 welcome drink and 2 x starters, 2x main courses and 2 x desserts that will then be made by professional chefs and served on the night… while you get the chance to sit back and enjoy the night. On the night we will then play a video of you talking about your dish to introduce it!
ENTERTAINMENT: Our community panel will then choose 5 entertainment submissions to perform during each course of the meal.
If your dish gets selected you will also get the opportunity to work with the chefs the week before on Monday 17 August (in the day time) to show them how to prepare your dish if you want to. (This is optional and you do not have to take part in the trial day.)
If you do take part in the trial day you will have to pass your Health and Food hygiene safety certificate in advance which we will arrange with you and pay for you to do.
We will also make a booklet of all submissions and stories (including previous Derby Dishes submissions) to showcase our beautiful Derby community!

You could be a singer, dancer, poet, musician, comedian, magician or something completely different! As long as your act/performance/talk/workshop can take place in a small space and is around 10 minutes, we encourage you to apply.
