This next collection of shows will be going on priority sale for Derby Theatre Friends at 12pm on Wednesday 19 October, and on general sale at 12pm on Friday 21 October.
From Saturday 25 March until Saturday 8 April, our big main house family show for the Easter period will be a brand-new adaptation of the classic and much-loved Sherwood Forest tale, Robin Hood and The Major Oak by Deb McAndrew, our next BSL integrated and Captioned production perfect for all ages. This sparkling new adaptation will be a high-energy, fantastically funny show brought vividly to life with a wonderful cast of actors (including musicians, hearing, Deaf and interpreting actors) and will follow on from previous smash-hit Derby Theatre family productions.
On Saturday 21 January, we will present The Smartest Giant in Town, a Little Angel Theatre and Fierylight co-production based on the best-selling book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. This heart-warming tale about friendship and helping those in need is brought to life in a musical, puppet-filled adventure.
On Thursday 23 February, we are joined for one night only by the multi award-winning star of Celebrity Googlebox, Babatunde Aléshé: Babahood as he talks family and fatherhood in this highly anticipated debut tour.
From Tuesday 28 Feb until Saturday 4 March, we will play host to the incredibly charming Charlie & Stan. Inspired by real life events, and accompanied by a live piano score, Told by an Idiot’s smash-hit production is a hilarious and moving homage to Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel, two men who changed the world of comedy forever.
