New to acting, or want to build confidence and technique?
This workshop is a friendly, practical introduction to acting for beginners and early-stage performers.
In this 4-hour session, we will build confidence, explore the actor’s core tools (body, voice, imagination, listening), and practise simple techniques through games, improvisation, and short scene work. Designed for a mixed group, including people who are brand new and those with some amateur experience.
Aims
- Build confidence in a supportive room
- Develop basic performance skills: presence, focus, voice, and physicality
- Introduce simple ways to approach character and scene
- Give participants practical exercises they can keep using afterwards
