For over 10 years, Hubbub Theatre Company (Derby Theatre Associate Artists) have been leading the way in co-creating exceptional theatre and creative work with Learning Disabled and Autistic people right here in Derby.
If you’re a theatremaker, educational leader, facilitator, or artist interested in how theatre can be made more accessible for all, get involved!
Hear from and work alongside Artistic Director and CEO Jen Sumner, founding company members and Hubbub practitioners for an exclusive insight into our methodology, ‘The Hubbub Way’ – how we keep our rehearsal rooms accessible, our creative process democratic and our work holding kindness and wellbeing at its heart.
Previous feedback shared that ‘working with Hubbub has highlighted to me good theatre practice and what I should come to expect from other organisations’ & ‘the impact Hubbub has had on me as an artist and facilitator is immeasurable’.
Join us and hear more!
The day will include:
• A practical workshop with the Company
• A Q&A with the company and allies of the work including Derby Theatre and Déda
• A sharing of Hubbub’s work and an insight into our rehearsal process
You will also be able to experience the ‘Hubbub is 10! Celebration Exhibition’ held in Déda’s gallery.
Please contact Beth Fermor (Arts Administrator) via email at E.Fermor@derby.ac.uk if you require any additional support when booking your position. Additionally, please let her know if you require any additional support on the day, to get the best experience out of the workshop.
