Patrick Grant: LESS

As part of Derby Book Festival

Tue 4 Jun, 2024 Archive
No one knows – or loves – good, proper clothes like Patrick Grant.

From Patrick Grant, the ‘Prince of Fashion’, best known for his role as judge of the BBC’s The Great British Sewing Bee, this is a passionate and revealing book about loving clothes but hating the way they’re made, about everything wrong with the fashion industry today, and how to set it right. Patrick explains his journey through fashion and why he’s putting his money into a sustainable future.

Book cover of 'LESS' by Patrick Grant with the tagline 'Stop Buying So Much Rubbish - How Having Fewer, Better Things Can Make Us Happier', featuring neatly arranged clothing items above the title, symbolising minimalism and quality.

No one knows – or loves – good, proper clothes like Patrick Grant. He built his business from total obscurity, running one small shop on Savile Row, to become a dresser of the stars, a friend of the King, a beloved TV star and a leader in the fashion industry.

But increasingly, we don’t make clothes well. We can love clothes more, and better. But the way to do it is through less.
